A website recently showcase a bizarre video by blogger Kevin that features a pretty blond talking about how a ‘beer diet’ can help one lose weight at an alarming rate (and we thought all that beer can give us was a beer belly. Sigh!) Well, the lady does seem to have her own set of ‘scientific’ explanations! According to the ‘beer diet’, drinking twelve or more cans of beers can cause ‘reverse peristaltic movements’ which causes food to be vomited out. As a result, net calorific consumption remains nil. In other words, it is something like an ‘induced bulimia’. As if that was not enough, the video goes on to explain how excessive alcohol consumption can cause memory loss and you may just ‘forget’ how to eat. Further, alcoholism can exhaust your resources as you spend all your savings on beer bottles so that you have no money left to buy food! The other advantage of the ‘beer diet’ is that by the end of your beer drinking routine, you will be too sloshed to even walk up to the fridge or the kitchen, which are ‘sources of calories.
